Jackson Jones LLC is a law firm that grew out of the partnership of Jackson Law LLC, owned by Isaac R. Jackson, and Clinton J. Jones Attorney at Law, P.C. owned by Clint Jones. Isaac and Clint met while at the University of Oregon School of Law, and thereafter were reassociated at the firm Frohnmayer Deatherage in Medford, Oregon.
Isaac Jackson graduated from the University of Oregon, School of Law in 2005, and was sworn into the Oregon State Bar that same year. Isaac started his career as a law clerk in the Lane County Circuit Court before becoming an associate attorney at the defense firm, Frohnmayer, Deatherage in Medford, Oregon.
In 2008, Isaac started his own personal injury firm in Eugene, Oregon, named Jackson Law, to help injured clients. Isaac’s approach was different than typical personal injury firms. It was his practice to develop close relationships with the persons he represented. Isaac cared more about the client and their hopes and future than his bottom line. Isaac and Clint’s partnership grew out of their friendship, and their shared desire to put the client first, to understand them and account for their future.
During more than ten years of practice, Isaac helped thousands of people to understand the law and their circumstances. He represented clients in Lane, Jackson, Linn, Multnomah and Benton County Circuit Courts, and the United States District Court, District of Oregon.
Isaac believed in a simple principle: access for everyone. He believed that a person should be able to talk to an attorney, and get answers and information sufficient to make informed decisions, irrespective of the value of the case. Isaac tried to help every person, no matter what.
With a unique focus on people, Isaac had the ability to make each person feel like they were his best friend. He evaluated the law with a heart toward solutions, not fights. Isaac demonstrated the balance of a progressive thinking attorney, standing up for what he thought was right as a matter of principle, yet being a strong advocate for extrajudicial remedies.
Isaac lost his battle with cancer in April of 2017. But during his life, he endeavored to, as Thoreau said… “Live deep and suck out all the marrow of life, to live so sturdily and Spartan-like as to put to rout all that was not life, to cut a broad swath and shave close, to drive life into a corner, and reduce it to its lowest terms….”
Isaac’s legacy of care for others stands today. That is why this firm is still named for him and carries the tradition of putting the client before all else. Our clients are family because that is how Isaac felt it should be. And for so long as we can conduct the firm’s operations upholding the high ideal and example Isaac set, the firm will continue to carry his name in honor of him.
